Over the years, my eclectic sense of taste, style and design have always been a topic among friends and family. Taking after both my grandmother and my mother, I always experimented with color and design. Going into business for yourself isn't for the faint of hearts and certainly has its challenges..... but I knew it would be my calling. I remember growing up I would scan issues of design and architectural magazines whenever I had the need to be creative and find inspiration. Each time I opened an issue, each printed article and image reminded me that everything starts with one idea. I've wanted to go into business for myself for years and just like so many budding entrepreneurs, I came to a crossroads in my career. I realized my creative career alone, though I hold it near and dear, would never satisfy my need to go out and create something of my very own, something that I would be truly passionate about. Life is funny sometimes and deciding to hang up my corporate career to pursue my dream was my path and thus............. La Niche Boutique was born.
My grandmother has painted the "three fishes" since my mother was a child. This one idea started my journey. The three fish represents the "trinity" and three generations of Hungarian women. Sadly, the original painting was lost in the fire that broke out on July 23, 2015. A reproduction of this painting now sits in our new location on 134 N. East Street, Frederick MD. for everyone to enjoy.
